How often should I have an eye test?
It is generally recommended by Optometry Australia:
- Adults, no risk factors: every 2 years
- Over 65, diabetics, family history of glaucoma, or other risk factors: annually
- Children: annually (their eyes/prescription change faster)
- Contact lens wearers: annually
Checking your eye health is really important. We screen for eye diseases such as age-related macular degeneration, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and cataracts.

No referral is needed. You can book directly with us anytime.
Are eye tests covered by Medicare?
Yes. Most standard eye tests are bulk billed to Medicare if you have a valid Medicare card.

What if I don’t have a health fund?
That’s fine. We’ll still provide a full eye exam and can help you choose eyewear that fits your budget.

Absolutely. Most of our sunglass frames can be fitted with prescription lenses.

How long does an eye test take?
Most appointments take about 20–30 minutes. If extra tests are needed, it may take a little longer.
Do you repair or adjust glasses?
Yes, we can tighten, adjust, and replace parts for most frames.
When should I bring my child in for their first eye test?
We recommend a first check before starting school, or sooner if you notice any signs of vision problems.
How quickly can I get my glasses?
Standard lenses can often be ready within a week. Some specialised lenses may take longer — we’ll let you know at the time of ordering.
